Artist Statement

I am a multi-passionate artist, but the thread that has always tied my work together is that I am a storyteller. I believe in the transformative power of sharing real, raw human experiences.

Previously, my work focused on sharing my DIY projects like this 1974 A-frame cabin renovation and a custom Ram ProMaster van build, as well as documenting my alternative lifestyle through short and long-form video creation. Most recently, I have shifted my focus to written work, sharing personal essays in my Substack newsletter and working on my first poetry collection.

As a writer, I am blunt, vulnerable, and intimate. I leave my readers feeling seen and understood while curiously reflecting on our role in universal interconnectedness. I hope that my words can be the magic that reminds others to never shy away from big feelings. I create from a stream of consciousness, intentionally leaving my work messy and uninhibited as a protest against perfectionism. Through my creative work, I honor my working class ancestors who did not have the time to play and made many sacrifices so I would be able to.
